Avaira® contact lenses, manufactured by CooperVision and offered in a 6 pack format, are made from a unique silicone hydrogel material that binds water within the lens material itself. Avaira® is manufactured using CooperVision’s Aquaform™ technology, which keeps the lens moist all day and provides optimum comfort for the wearer without the need for additive surface treatments. Avaira® lens is 30 percent softer than any other comparable two-week silicone hydrogel and is also quite resistant to dehydration and surface deposits. Avaira® is designed to be worn as a two-week disposable (you still must take the lenses out each night). Discard and replace with fresh lenses after two weeks. Be sure to follow your eye doctor’s recommended replacement schedule.

  • Better value

In these economic times the cost of products is important. When my optometrist suggested that I consider either the Oasys or the Avaira I tried both but looked at their cost to see which one would fit into my budget. The Avaira lens was great in comfort and in vision. Once I looked at pricing I made the decision to remain with the Avaira lens.

  • Avaira wins

When the optician suggested that I try a new lens material designed to make the contact lens experience comfortable and keep the lens cleaner, longer – I had to agree. To show me the difference he tried an Oasys lens on one eye and the Avaira on the other. Needless to say the Avaira lens was more comfortable. The vision between the two lenses was very similar but comfort won the choice.

  • Finally

I have tried many products in the past five years. Frequency 55, Proclear, Oasys and then Avaira. Finally a lens that I can wear comfortably. The vision is great and the all day wear is as comfortable as one can ask for - an excellent lens.

  • More comfortable

My optometrist had first prescribed O2 Optix which I wore for one year. The problem that I had with that lens is that it felt very dry after a few hours of wear. So I went back to the optometrist to see what we can do to resolve this problem. He suggested I try Avaira since the material was designed to retain water and therefore feel more comfortable throughout the day. That is what happened. Avaira is definitely more comfortable than the O2 Optix.
