Frequency® 55 Toric XR contact lenses manufactured from Methafilcon A, a 55 percent water content polymer provide wearers with excellent vision quality and comfort at an affordable price. The lenses are the extended range option for those astigmatic patients with special astigmatic corrections and are designed for wear as a monthly daily wear toric lens, which means you take the lenses out each night and replace with a new lens on a monthly basis. Be sure to follow your prescribing eye doctor’s recommended replacement schedule.

Written By: Jessica Was this review useful?: Yes \| No	A whole new option The higher the astigmatism the more difficult it is to wear contacts. That is what eye doctors used to tell me. But now companies like Coopervision have given me a whole new option, one that allows me be like other contact lens wearers. Finally my prescription comes in disposable lenses which I use just like everyone uses their two week disposables. My vision is excellent and right on even when I blink. They are more costly than other lenses but I am ready to pay for the practicality.

I didn’t know that manufacturers used to have a maximum prescription for production. My luck is that the manufacturers figured out how they can afford to go beyond their original limits and produce my prescription in disposable lenses just like anyone else. Sure they cost more but I like the practicality and the vision that I have. BTW I don’t even feel the lenses, anytime. I just have to make sure to change the lenses after two weeks because it feels like it is scratchy after that.

In the early days of soft toric lenses the fitting was more complicated and I had to go through three eye doctors before I could find the right lenses for my eyes. This time when I wanted to switch to disposable contacts it was an easy experience. The eye doctor knew exactly what and how it would fit. Frequency XR was the right choice. Once the trial lenses worked out in terms of comfort and vision I was good to go. Now I replace my lenses every two weeks and they stay comfortable all day with great vision.

My first success was with the Frequency XR. I had the same freedoms as other people with less complicated prescriptions. My vision is stable and sharp at all times and I use disposable lenses just like everyone. The only thing that I need to do is make sure that I have spare lenses with me just in case they go on back order.
